Tata Power Ddl Honored With One a Rating to Spur the Growth of the Solar Power Sector

Tata Power DDL, which handles the power distribution in the national capital, Delhi, has received Solar Power One-A rating from MNRE, a new and renewable energy ministry for better performance in the solar power sector.

The joint venture company of Tata Power and Delhi Government handles the responsibility of power distribution in the West region of Delhi.

This rating is given to the company for installing solar power plants of 1.77 MW capacity, solar project management initiatives, and others in states such as Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Tata Power DDL said in a statement today that it is the second consecutive time when it got Solar Power One-ASP1 rating from the Ministry. The company claims that it is the country's first power distribution company, which has received this rating.

According to the company, 2770 agencies including the Renewable Energy Service Company were included in the panel as channel partners. Out of this, only 39 top organizations have been shortlisted by the panel as SP1A Channel Partner.

According to the statement, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd. confirms high-performance capacity and high viability of DDL solar projects in the field.
About this, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company, Praveer Sinha, said, “We are actively pursuing solar energy in the country. The SP1A rating from MNRE confirms this. We will continue to contribute to the use of solar power and the national solar mission.”

TPDDL offers a single window service via tied up agencies, initiating with designing, site survey, commissioning, installation, and feasibility of the solar plant with the assistance at the consumer’s doorstep as per the predetermined standard. They have responsive customer care and call centers for further assistance.

However, looking at the overall performance of the renewable sector specifically the solar power segment is constantly witnessing the drastic growth. Government focusing on deploying multiple renewable energy-based power plants has also motivated the demand for the solar energy which is simultaneously responsible for the growth of the global market. Consumer inclining more on the utilization of solar energy owing to the free availability of the energy source is majorly driving the growth of solar energy sector.
